Established in 1992, Guelph Artisans is a fine arts and crafts retail outlet
operated by the Guelph Creative Arts Association (GCAA).
All items are original, one of a kind items and only a small sample of the
works created by our local member artists, including:
oils, acrylics and watercolour paintings, photography, woodworking,
textile crafts, pottery, jewellery, stained glass and metal work
The large selection of unique greeting cards will not be found elsewhere!
Many depict images of local scenes and are left blank inside so you can
create your own unique message.
Run totally by volunteers as part of their agreement to display and
sell in the store, there is always an artisan on hand
to answer your questions.
If you have a question outside of their own artistic discipline, they
can direct you to the artisan who can answer it for you.
Do You Want to Sell at Guelph Artisans?
√ You must first be a member of the Guelph Creative Arts Association (GCAA).
√ A three-member panel will want to see photos of, or actual samples of your work. They will decide if your work is in keeping with the quality and type of works to be displayed in the store. All jury decisions are final.
√ In addition to the jury process, there must be space available for your work in the store.
√ Wall space may be rented in either a 42 x 96 inch or 21 x 96-inch-wide sections. Shelving units and floor space allocations vary in size and are wholly dependent on the amount of space needed to suitably show your body of work.
√ To be viable, the store needs to offer a diversity of works in price and type. If there are already artisans in the store offering much the same kind of product, your chances of gaining a spot may be limited and so you may be placed on a waiting list for your type of work.
√ If successful in gaining a space, you will be asked to sign a contract or a minimum of three months.
√ Volunteering a minimum of four hours per month in the store is also required.

Cost to Sell in the Store
21" wall space ---------- $25.00 per month
42" wall space ---------- $40.00 per month
Shelving units ----------- Variable depending on space requirements
35% commission retained by store on all sales in all cases.
(HST is collected from the customer)
